Mitigated Frequent Crashes When Moving Between Locations Using Save Points
Previously, when transitioning between locations, layers were managed by unloading all unused layers.
For example, when moving from the Twisted Forest to the Desert Canyon: Unload the unused Twisted Forest layers -> Load the Desert Canyon layers -> Once the Desert Canyon layers have finished loading, move to the designated point.
While this worked fine in a DX11 environment, in DX12, errors often occurred in large areas when the layer load state was changed, causing frequent crashes.
To address this, the internal management system has been modified to keep all layers active and only change the state of very small, necessary areas.
Adjusted Some VT (Virtual Texture) Settings
- If the memory available for VT is insufficient, some objects or terrain may appear black.
Updated Resolution-Related Code
- The game now reads the saved resolution information once upon loading and applies changes accordingly.
There may still be untested or overlooked issues. If you encounter any problems or notice anything unusual, please feel free to report it.
This update has been tested on a Ryzen 7 4800H/3060 6G laptop.
