Twisted Forest Area Rework
- The Area overall size has been reduced to one-third.
- All item and AI placements have been completely reconfigured. Previously obtained items can be reacquired.
- The interior of the mine has been partially changed.
- The positions and names of save points have been partially modified.
Goblins
- Resource Changes
- Goblin Thief: Removed.
- Goblin Spearman: Newly added as a replacement for the Goblin Thief.
- Goblin Elite: Removed.
- Goblin Shaman: Now provides beneficial effects to nearby goblins.
- Crystallized Goblin Shaman: Now provides beneficial effects to nearby goblins.
- Goblin Battle Mage: Some patterns have been changed.
Trolls
- Resources and patterns have been modified.
Options
- BGM and SFX volumes can now be adjusted in increments of 1.
- The current “Batch Setting” function is enabled with Lumen (Ray Tracing, causing heavy CPU and GPU load). If it feels burdensome, please change the reflection and global illumination settings to Screen Space in the Custom Options.
- I plan to remove the batch setting and offer only custom options.
Optimization
- The shader complexity of most plants and terrain has been reduced.
- The size of the Virtual Texture Pool has been reduced
- The level management system has been changed to a layer toggle system.
- Previously, with all layers active, texture resources were assigned to different layers, resulting in significant quality degradation; switching to a toggle system addresses this issue.
- If the problem recurs, i will consider alternative methods.
- With this change, in most cases, you will have to wait until being forcibly moved to the checkpoint.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issues caused by removing the “Ultra” option.
- Fixed an issue where the game would crash due to certain animation problems.
- Fixed a game crash caused by AI perception functions.
- Fixed an intermittent issue when AI was ambiguously positioned on the boundaries of the loading area.
- Fixed an issue where some abilities could cause the game to crash intermittently upon finishing.
- Fixed an issue where characters would not be pushed off certain objects when colliding.
- Fixed an issue where tick-based projectiles would collide with each other and disappear.
- Fixed an issue where the count of Return Stones did not decrease upon use.
- Fixed an issue where some persistent-effect ability visuals would not disappear.
- Fixed an issue where character revival did not properly reset, causing some attacks to deal no damage.
- Fixed an issue where hostile NPCs were dying faster than intended.
- Fixed an issue where hostile NPCs could still interact after death.
- Fixed an intermittent crash when interacting with an NPC while hostile.
- Fixed an issue where the game would crash when using a timer almost simultaneously with an object unloading.
- Fixed an issue where the AI’s vision override function was not working properly.
- Fixed an issue where the Elder Ent was abnormally repeating certain actions
Miscellaneous
- Some NPC dialogue has been modified.
- Some sound resources have been changed (these changes were applied on a trial basis and may be altered).
- The internal save point management system has been modified.
- In previous save files, all save point information will be deleted at the start.
- When attempting to move to another area from any save point, the system will automatically switch to the new method and restore the previously activated save point information.
- AI-generated projectiles damaging other AIs is intentional, but the frequency will decrease as the game progresses.
- The demo is planned to be updated next week.
